Penfolds一開始就斬釘截鐵的表示『Bin 8 並不是什麼小Bin 389』，『這只是兩個葡萄品種的完美二重奏』，的確，以可以新鮮享用為目的的Bin 8給人富架構卻更果香奔放易飲的面貌，卡本內與施赫葡萄的結合一直以來是Penfolds最引以自豪的強項，不外乎是Penfolds Grange所得來得高標準經驗。

 

葡萄收成後於15%美國新橡母桶陳年12個月，希望能以果香打造酒款主體，所以少量橡木桶可以說恰如其分，黑色漿果的氣息非常跳脫，潔淨又誘人，也帶有中國特有的新香料氣息，單寧柔和如絲綢，有很長的尾韻，微微帶花香，為首富郭台銘婚宴用酒。WA給予89高分並認為陳年到2017年都沒有問題，澳洲葡萄酒大師則也給予90高分！

 

Penfolds Bin 8 is a classic Australian Blend Of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, crafted in the traditional Penfolds style. This elegant wine shows ripe sweet fruit flavours, supported by softly intergrated oak and silky tannins.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Bin 8 Cabernet Shiraz has notes of warm cassis and black cherry preserves over Chinese five spice, cloves and tree bark. Medium to full bodied with a good amount of muscular fruit, it has a medium to firm level of grainy tannins and enlivening acidity, finishing long. Drink it now to 2017+.
