 Sons of Eden
伊甸之子莊園Sons of Eden由兩位樸實的酒業老手所共同創立，在澳洲葡萄酒大師James Halliday的2010評鑑中，獲得『年度10大新興酒莊』（Ten of the Best New Winerys）之名，隨即在2011年評鑑中，和擁有Grange的Penfolds酒莊，以及擁有Amon-Ra蒼穹之眼的Glaetzer酒莊，同樣獲得澳洲Barossa Valley Best Wineries『產區最佳酒莊』的殊榮。
這兩位傳奇人物，一位是經驗老道的葡萄農Simon Cowham，另一位則是手法精湛的釀酒師Corey Ryan，兩位經歷許多酒廠任職的學習洗禮，身負對葡萄酒釀造的理念與想法，在確認對方與自己熱情都在相同道路上之後，融合雙方特長本領，誕生無懈可擊的Sons of Eden伊甸之子酒莊。
Corey擁有23年釀酒經驗，曾任職Yalumba、Henschke和Penfolds這些世界聞名的大酒莊，走過法國隆河這個Shiraz原鄉學習釀酒的節制優雅，在紐西蘭的Villa Maria更擔任首席釀酒師一職，雖創立了伊甸之子，現在仍是Villa Maria的釀酒顧問，在漫長的葡萄酒反思中他自行創立不少釀酒風格，讓他在2007時年獲得『葡萄酒大師協會』（Institute of Masters of Wine）頒給表揚學位。Simon則曾任職於美國酒商Hardy Wine與英國大酒商Oddbins，1997年時轉而開始研究葡萄樹的栽種培養，進入『澳洲釀酒聯合』（Winemaker's Federation of Australia），後來任職Yalumba酒莊的技術經理，負責管理多處葡萄園的培育品質，對葡萄酒的奉獻也超過20年。
紅葡萄方面，Simon使用如同Henschke與Torbreck酒莊一樣的檢選標準，僅將品質最好的2%葡萄果實提供給Corey釀酒使用，其中絕大部份都是老藤葡萄；白葡萄Riesling來自Eden Valley，此處平均氣溫較低，是澳洲最適合Riesling生長與展現結構風味的地塊之一，葡萄樹齡40年以上，充滿果香又富含礦物結構。
Simon與Corey兩位都以『培養』葡萄酒，而不是以『製作』葡萄酒的態度來面對這些大自然作物，手工摘取，嚴選健康葡萄藤，表現真實葡萄漿果的純正風味，這都是多年浸淫葡萄酒，了解葡萄樹與風土個性之後，才能自信且從容行事，在氣候、地塊、葡萄農與釀酒師合作無間之下，釀出最可口的葡萄佳釀。
Sons of Eden現在也是『Barossa工匠』（Artisans of Barossa）組織的一員，這是由一群對葡萄酒有共同理念的酒莊所成立，其中包括Penfolds Grange的前釀酒師Jonh Duval，澳洲膜拜酒Hobbs以及五號也推薦過的Massena酒莊，這些酒莊將對葡萄的雕鑿減少到最低程度，展現最天然的大自然風華，都是五號自己非常喜愛且誠心推薦的好作品。
A story that has intrigued us for years is the fable of the legendary founders of Ancient Rome, Romulus and Remus. These twins were abandoned at birth and reared by a she-wolf. Romulus murdered his twin in a fit of rage over the naming of Rome, the city which both had built. Legend presents Romulus as the stronger, more powerful of the brothers, while Remus was more refined, focused and elegant. We believe the twins' characteristics also describe the distinctive and unique flavours of Shiraz from the twin valleys ~ the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley.
