說到西班牙，讓人第一個想到的就是Rioja產區，而問人Rioja最出名與具代表性的酒莊，大家一定都回答是Muga穆加酒莊；原因無他，除了日常酒款易於飲用且極具水準，酒莊生產的旗艦酒Torre Muga『穆加之塔』，含有一般西班牙酒少有的細膩質感，是西班牙的指標酒款！
創立於1932年，Muga酒莊現在由第三代經營，林裕森老師的西班牙葡萄酒一書中提到：『Rioja利奧哈產區，酒莊非常容易分成新派和酒派，以及新舊都有的中間派，Muga是少數新式和舊式酒都釀的非常好的酒莊...葡萄園的管理頗先進，有些甚至用GPS定位法記錄每棵葡萄樹的狀況。』，Muga從1991年開始推出『穆加之塔』，採用50年以上老藤釀造，發酵過程在10,000公升大酒槽中進行，不使用人工酵母與溫控，讓葡萄酒展現他原本的面貌，浸皮時間可長達一個月，汲取更多果香與芬芳物質，發酵後於法國或美國全新小橡木桶熟成18個月，再以16,000公升的大橡木桶中培養6個月，木桶中的熟成期總共24個月。
酒莊對橡木桶的使用頗具心得，除了新舊桶的比例替換，更使用多種來源的木桶來搭配葡萄酒，包括三種不同的法國桶、美國、匈牙利、俄羅斯、甚至還是西班牙當地的木桶，酒莊現在共有200多個大儲酒槽，以及14,000個橡木桶，用來調配釀酒師心中的完美均衡的葡萄酒。
濃郁莓果香點綴上花類香氣、極度迷人的橡木燻烤、奶油，伴隨夏季森林的剛厚氣息，複雜度與層次變化隱微卻令人期待，口感堅實飽滿，架構宏大，強勁而收斂，是本世紀絕對不會被遺忘，且會被一再提及的驚世好酒！
酒評WA、WS與Stephen Tanzer都給予最低95以上的高分，2004年的穆加之塔Torre Muga更是Wine Spectator的2007年Top 100第11名！

Torre Muga is 75% Tempranillo, 15% Mazuelo, and 10% Graciano. It is aged for 3 months in large wood vats before spending 18 months in new French oak. Inky purple-hued, it exhibits a superb nose of wood smoke, pencil lead, spice box, scorched earth, and blackberry. This leads to a layered, opulent wine with 5-7 years of aging potential.

Plush and harmonious, this red is alluring yet subtle, with intense flavors backed by an impressive structure. Look for black currant, cocoa, cigar box and mineral notes now, and expect further complexity as this evolves. Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano.

Saturated ruby. Exotically perfumed, syrah-like bouquet of red and dark berries, violet, smoky bacon and graphite, with a vanillin oak spice undertone adding an exotic touch. Fleshy, palate-staining cassis and bitter cherry flavors are brightened by piquant minerality and firmed by fine-grained tannins. Cracked pepper and mace qualities come up on the long, silky finish. Extremely suave and strikingly complex wine with excellent balance.
