有乾淨的果香與礦石感，精細結構伴隨很好的尾韻，
單寧軟熟細緻，現在就已經很可口，不過可預期單寧會在幾年後更柔軟』
Wine Spectator也曾給予90分並盛讚『活潑且有酸度單寧平衡極佳』。

Baron Edmond de Rotschild是Rothschild家族其中一員，
Rothschild家族擁有五大酒莊的Chateau Lafite與Chateau Mounton，
還有索甸名莊Chateau Riessac、右岸名莊Chateau l'Evangile，
其他如Chateau des Laurets、Chateau Clarke、以及阿根廷與智利的產業。
Chateau des Laurets 位於聖愛美濃衛星產區Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion，
這裡是愛酒人士的尋酒寶地，充滿許多品質優異而價格美妙的好酒，
而出自名莊的確也是品質的保證。
Chateau des Laurets另一個特色是請來Michel Rolland當釀酒顧問，
高比例使用Merlot來釀造，使用低產量與成熟葡萄來確保品質，
城堡建於於西元1860年，葡萄園位於朝南的坡上，
葡萄園總面積超過86公頃，土壤富含石灰質黏土，賦予酒質獨特風格。
採收以人工方式進行，所有採收的葡萄都要經由分選與除梗，
然後才能入釀酒槽。陳年時間為14-18個月。
高雅香味帶出成熟的覆盆苺與櫻桃，並襯托出淡淡的煙燻與香料香氣。
口感呈現出典型的成熟Merlot並帶著細緻的口感與均衡的酒體。
餘韻悠長帶著新鮮水果清香。

Impressive for this appellation. Spicy exotic nose with vanilla, hazelnuts and cocoa. Opens up with a nice earthy minerality and polished fruit. Wonderfully juicy and nicely textured on the palate with good length. Soft and fine tannins. Really delicious to drink now, but tannins will soften further over the next couple of years. Bold, ripe and almost flashy, showing good drive and vivacity, with fresh acidity pumping the boysenberry, steeped plum and raspberry fruit along while a roasted apple wood note fills in the finish. 18,300 cases made. –JM
